All the ‘scoop’ from Balmoral Show!
The Balmoral Show is undoubtedly the most important event in the diary of the agri-food sector and an annual showpiece for Dale Farm. Last year was a record success – with over 120,000 visitors coming to Balmoral Park over the four days.
Thousands of visitors to the Dale Farm stand in the NI Food Pavilion had the opportunity to sample our delicious range of products. From tasty Dromona cheese toasties, to hot buttered toast and wheaten, then over to the Dale Farm smoothie bar where healthy smoothies were prepared with Delightly Greek style yogurt and Protein Milk.
With the sun shining, attendees could cool down with a scoop of our tempting limited edition Mullins Pina COWlada flavoured ice cream. Helping serve at the Dale Farm Ice Cream van were Ulster Rugby players Rob Lyttle, Caleb Montgomery and Kyle McCall, who also replaced scrums for smoothies, shaking up some dairy delights for passers-by to enjoy!
Kids and big kids alike tried their hand at rounding up a herd of mini cows at our fairground ‘Hook a Lucky Cow’ game, ably assisted by Dale Farm mascot Bella. They proved to be a dab hand, with over 1,000 winners rewarded with mini cows by the time the show concluded!
At the Dale Farm corporate marquee we welcomed many of our members – an excellent opportunity to catch up over a cup of tea and an array of Dale Farm products! On the Thursday of the show, we were joined at the marquee by UK Government Minister Lord Duncan of Springbank, who enjoyed sampling our new Delightly yogurt and Dromona Cracker, which was launched at Balmoral.
Dale Farm is always proud to see so many of our farmer owners showcasing their stock and engaging in the various activities at Balmoral Show. It is an excellent shop window for the quality of dairy farming here in Northern Ireland.
Thanks to everyone who made the Show another success for Dale Farm.
